Welcome to our archive of mythology, legend, and folklore. These terms set out the rules for exploring our collection of ancient stories, old books, and storytelling traditions gathered from cultures around the world. By browsing our site, subscribing to our archive, or purchasing a collection, you agree to these terms — so please take a few minutes to read them carefully before diving into the tales within.
You may use our site to explore myths, legends, and folklore for lawful purposes only. This includes reading our retellings, browsing our archive of ancient stories, and purchasing collections or access where available. You agree not to misuse the site, attempt to disrupt its functioning, copy our storytelling without permission, or use it in any way that could harm us, our contributors, or fellow readers of legend and lore.
All prices for our story collections, archive subscriptions, and old book reprints are shown clearly before you check out. We do our best to keep every description — from the origins of a legend to the details of an ancient statue featured in our articles — accurate and up to date, but occasionally errors happen. If a mistake is found in pricing or description, we will contact you before processing your order so nothing is published or charged incorrectly.
Payment is taken securely at checkout whenever you purchase a story collection, archive subscription, or old book reprint from our shop. We accept the major payment methods shown at the point of purchase, and all transactions are encrypted for your safety. Your order is confirmed once payment is successfully received, along with a confirmation email outlining the myths and legends you've chosen.
You can change or cancel your order for a story collection, archive subscription, or old book reprint shortly after placing it. Just contact us as soon as possible with your order details, and we'll do everything we can to help — whether that means adjusting your selection of legends or issuing a refund.
We take great care researching, translating, and retelling every myth and legend we publish, drawing on old books, ancient art, and oral storytelling traditions wherever possible. However, to the extent permitted by law, our liability is limited to the value of the collections, subscriptions, or archive access you purchased from us.
We may update these terms from time to time. The latest version will always be available on this page.
